Blue Mahoe Capital Sponsors Jamaica’s First All-Female Football Academy Reinas Girls Football

Blue Mahoe Capital has partnered with Reinas Academy in a four-year, $J2.2 million commitment to develop female football in Jamaica. Reinas Academy is the country’s first all-female football academy, dedicated to nurturing young athletes and building structured pathways into professional competition.

The partnership launches the Blue Mahoe Under-15 Series — an island-wide tournament for girls ages 8 to 20, creating the kind of organized, consistent competitive environment that has long existed for boys but never for girls at this level.

Several Reinas Academy senior players are already members of the Reggae Girlz national team. This initiative aims to deepen that pipeline and cultivate the next generation of elite female footballers.

“We are pleased to announce our partnership with Reinas Academy as we look to continue our development of female football in Jamaica,” said David Mullings, Chairman and CEO of Blue Mahoe Capital. “Traditionally, boys’ and men’s football receive the majority of financial support, but we must invest equally in women’s football.”

Neo Oxford, founder of Reinas Academy, noted the partnership’s potential to expand their reach: “Having Blue Mahoe on board opens new doors for us. Our goal has always been to increase the number of girls playing football, and with their support, we are now in a stronger position to make this goal a reality.”

This sponsorship is part of Blue Mahoe Charitable Foundation’s sports pillar — one of five areas of philanthropic focus alongside arts and culture, entrepreneurship, healthcare, and education.
